Demarai Gray is on the verge of leaving Everton to join Saudi Arabian side Al-Shabab.

That’s according to club president Khalid Al Thunayan.

Gray has been with the Toffees for the past two years but, despite regular playing time, has struggled to set Goodison Park alight.

The 27-year-old now looks set to leave the Premier League and join the exodus of players signing for clubs in the Saudi Pro League.

Riyadh-based outfit Al Shabab are in talks with Sean Dyche’s side over a move with the club president Al Thunayan revealing that the deal should be completed soon.

He told Saudi sports programme ‘In The Goal’: “God willing, we will soon be signing Demarai Gray from Everton, as well as Brazilian defender Nino from Fluminense.”

Everton has been relatively quiet on the transfer front so far this summer with the Merseyside outfit only signing four players but seeing the likes of Tom Davies, Moise Kean, Yerry Mina and Andros Townsend all leave the club.
