The Premier League have confirmed that clubs must now have four positive Covid cases in order to ask for a game to be postponed.
Games over the festive period were decimated by positive coronavirus cases with Burnley having five fixtures put back to a later date while Leicester had four matches in a row cancelled.
But there was uproar earlier this month as Arsenal had their match with Tottenham postponed despite having just one Covid case in the squad.
League authorities have updated the rules around postponements, with all 20 clubs agreeing that there have to be at least four cases amongst the senior players to apply for a postponement.
