Newcastle have reportedly joined Tottenham in a race to sign Bournemouth midfielder David Brooks.
Brooks enjoyed a breakout 2018/19 campaign with the Cherries and was widely regarded as one of the most underrated midfielders in the Premier League.
But a serious injury this term curtailed his appearances significantly, and with only nine games played could not help the south coast club avoid relegation.
But, according to Wales Online, the 23-year-old will have no shortage of suitors this summer.
They claim that the Wales international is wanted by Newcastle, Tottenham and West Ham but that all three clubs may be put off by Bournemouth’s €40m asking price.
It’s thought that Brooks is keen on staying in the top division and sees north London as his preferred destination.
