When it comes to who will finish Premier League top six (and other variations, in terms of final positions in the table), an ever changing picture.

These were the Premier League results yesterday (Saturday 13 April 2024):

Newcastle United 4 Tottenham 0

Brentford 2 Sheff Utd 0

Burnley 1 Brighton 1

Man City 5 Luton 1

Forest 2 Wolves 2

Bournemouth 2 Man U 2

This is the updated Premier League table on this Sunday (14 April 2024) morning:

These are the Premier League fixtures still to be played this weekend:

Sunday 14 April

Liverpool v Palace (2pm)

West Ham v Fulham (2pm)

Arsenal v Villa (4.30pm)

Monday 15 April

Chelsea v Everton (8pm)

So how have the punters and bookies reacted to Newcastle United hammering Tottenham and the other outcomes of rivals in PL matches on Saturday?

Listed below are the updated general Premier League odds now available from the various bookies for this 2023/24 season:

Finish top of the table:

5/4 Man City

7/4 Arsenal

5/2 Liverpool

4,500/1 Tottenham

4,500/1 Aston Villa

Finish top four:

No offers Man City

No offers Liverpool

No offers Arsenal

4/5 Tottenham

5/4 Villa

50/1 Newcastle United

100/1 Man U

250/1 Chelsea

Finish Premier League top six (in brackets what the odds were before results on Saturday):

No offers Man City

No offers Liverpool

No offers Arsenal

1/100 Tottenham (1/100)

1/100 Villa (1/100)

11/10 Newcastle United (9/4)

13/10 Man U (4/5)

6/1 Chelsea (5/1)

33/1 West Ham (33/1)

80/1 Brighton (40/1)

So a massive shift, Newcastle United are now favourites to get that top six spot, moving ahead of Man U in both the Premier League table and in the bookies odds.

Currently, Newcastle United are now 23 points off top spot, 10 points off Premier League top four and in sixth place – above Man U on goal difference. If West Ham beat Fulham today they will move one point above Newcastle United but Eddie Howe’s side will have a game in hand.

Can Eddie Howe and his team take advantage of a remaining schedule (see below) that sees four of their remaining six matches against clubs in the bottom seven?
