Arsenal closing gap on Liverpool
Liverpool sit eight points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
Aston Villa held Liverpool to a 2-2 draw on Wednesday night, denying Arne Slot’s side the chance to extend their lead over Arsenal to double figures.
Still, the Reds remain in control of the Premier League title race, although the Gunners will take heart from their rivals dropping points.
Leicester and Brentford kick off the Premier League weekend on Friday night, before Manchester United travel to Everton’s Goodison Park for the final time. Ruben Amorim is in dire need of a result after a desperately poor run of form, while David Moyes has rebuilt the Toffees.
The action continues on a busy Saturday when Arsenal host West Ham, Tottenham travel to Ipswich and Fulham welcome Crystal Palace.
Under fire Chelsea head to Aston Villa later that day.
The headline fixture, however, comes when Manchester City host Liverpool on Sunday.
