Chelsea get action underway before huge top of the table clash
It is Chelsea, however, who get the weekend underway when they travel to London rivals West Ham in Saturday’s early Premier League kick-off.
That will be done and dusted by the time another 3pm programme gets underway. Fulham host unbeaten Newcastle at Craven Cottage, while Tottenham are looking to bounce back from derby day defeat when they host capital counterparts Brentford.
Liverpool will need to put their shock loss to Nottingham Forest behind them when they welcome Bournemouth to Anfield, while Crystal Palace entertain Manchester United at Selhurst Park to round off Saturday’s action.
Sunday then offers the biggest game of the weekend. Champions City, who have so far looked rather imperious, will play Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium in a heavyweight fixture to finish another busy weekend.
Fresh from beating Spurs, it will be fascinating to see if the Gunners can claim another statement victory.
