Premier League side West Ham United are yet to make contact for Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca.
While the Italy international has been linked with a host of clubs in recent weeks and months – including Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain, recent reports stated that the Hammers had come forward for the Sassuolo striker.
But according to sources contacted by Get Italian Football News, no contact has been made between the two parties, with those close to the player stating that talk of contact from the Hammers is ‘absolutely not true’.
It was reported some days ago that the Hammers, in their attempts to bolster their frontline, had made contact for both Scamacca and his Neroverdi teammate Giacomo Raspadori.
In the 2021/22 season, Scamacca impressed by scoring 16 times in Serie A and his performances have clearly and rather deservedly caught the attention of many across Europe. Luis Campos, PSG’s new sporting director, is said to be keen on the player.
