Premier League referee Martin Atkinson has undertaken a mammoth cycle ride from England’s training ground at St George’s Park to Kaliningrad.

The 1,700-mile ride was in aid of four charities close to the 47-year-old’s heart, with proceeds going to St David’s Hospice Care, the Yorkshire Young Achievers Foundation, the Jane Tomlinson Appeal and the University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire Charity.

Atkinson left the Three Lions base in Staffordshire on June 11, and 16 days later has completed the gruelling trip to the host city of their final group game against Belgium.

The ride took in seven different countries and it’s thought that he’s raised over £60,000.
