The conclusion of the 2023/24 Premier League season is rapidly approaching and all eyes remain glued on the fierce title race between leaders Arsenal and champions Manchester City.

Liverpool have fallen out of contention at the top of the table but will compete in what could be the most entertaining match of Gameweek 36 when Tottenham Hotspur visit Anfield on Sunday. The Gunners and the Cityzens, meanwhile, play a day earlier in home battles with Bournemouth and Wolves.

With Friday and Monday night fixtures to keep fans entertained, Gameweek 36 should be a cracker. Here's how 90min sees the weekend's duels panning out.

Friday 3 May

Fantasy Premier League players, beware; there is a Friday night deadline in Gameweek 36.

Kenilworth Road takes centre stage as Luton Town attempt to give their survival hopes a shot in the arm when Everton visit. The Hatters can move out of the relegation zone with a victory but the Toffees suddenly can't stop winning with three successes on the bounce securing their place in the top flight.

Saturday 4 May

Saturday sees the two remaining title challengers take to the turf, starting with current leaders Arsenal. While the Gunners have played an extra game, they can go four points ahead of Man City in the early kick-off if they dispose of Bournemouth. The Cherries are scrapping for a top-ten finish, with Andoni Iraola turning things around having gone winless in his first nine Premier League matches, but they could return to the south coast empty-handed.

Man City will provide the evening entertainment and, regardless of Arsenal's performances, know victories in their four remaining fixtures will see them crowned champions of England for the fourth consecutive season. Opponents Wolves have proved stubborn foes for Pep Guardiola over the years but have been hamstrung by significant injuries in recent weeks.

There are three 15:00 BST kick-offs, one being a London derby between Brentford and Fulham at the Gtech Community Stadium. The Bees will be keen to avoid finishing any lower than their current position of 16th and could nick three points off a Cottagers outfit that has largely struggled away from home in 2023/24.

Five points from three games mean Burnley's survival hopes aren't over just yet but a leaky defence and the in-form Alexander Isak could result in Newcastle leaving Turf Moor with a comfortable victory.

Sheffield United's relegation to the Championship was confirmed by last week's loss to the Magpies. The Blades have the chance to damage Nottingham Forest's fight against the drop but, with only three league wins all season, it's hard to back Chris Wilder's side.

Sunday 5 May

Chelsea nullified a clueless Tottenham on Thursday night to bolster their own European qualification aspirations - if that's something they actually want - and face a fellow continental contender in West Ham on Sunday. The Hammers showed their attacking quality and defensive shortcomings in the 2-2 draw with Liverpool and the Blues' own inconsistency means another entertaining draw could be on the cards.

Aston Villa have a large points advantage over Spurs in the race for fourth and their trip to Brighton represents a good opportunity to get back on the horse after a 4-2 Europa Conference League semi-final first leg defeat to Olympiacos. The Seagulls have won just three league games in 2024 and lost their last two matches to Man City and Bournemouth by a 7-0 aggregate scoreline.

The late afternoon kick-off has potential to be a chaotic affair when Liverpool and Tottenham meet at Anfield. Both teams' goals have been severely dented over the past fortnight but last season's equivalent fixture - a 4-3 win for the Reds - was an absolute belter and more drama should be in store this time around.

Gameweek 36 closes out on Monday night when Manchester United limp down to London to take on Crystal Palace. The Eagles have picked up ten points from a possible 12 and have the attacking tools to down the Red Devils, who remain without key players and could only draw with Burnley last time out.
