Bryan Gill is in Girona today as planned to finalise his loan move from Tottenham Hotspur.
Gill will also extend his current deal with Spurs so that they don’t lose value on their £21m signing.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, in the deal there is a €15m release clause, which could be activated by Girona at the end of the loan.
The loan move is valid until June 2025, although both clubs could agree to extend further depending on how the player performs.
The 23-year-old returns to Spain after failing to cement regular playing time in the Premier League.
Since joining in 2021 from Sevilla, he has made just 43 appearances for the North London-based club.
However, unlike Spurs, Gil will be competing in the UEFA Champions League this season, after Girona’s historic campaign saw them earn qualification to the tournament through their league position.
The club had a fantastic La Liga campaign, finishing third behind Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona.
