  2. One of the powerhouses of English football, the Reds have been ever-presents in the Premier League and have won the competition twice, talking Liverpool’s number of top-flight titles to 20. The Merseyside outfit’s lowest ever finish in the Premier League era is three eighth-place results, most recently the case in the 2015/16 campaign.

Last season:

  1. In boss Arne Slot’s first term at the helm after taking over from longstanding manager Jürgen Klopp, the Dutchman guided the side to the Premier League title, finishing 10 points clear of second-place Arsenal. The Reds were also runners up in the EFL Cup, losing to Newcastle United at Wembley in the final.

One to watch:

  1. Mohamed Salah’s impressive tally of 29 goals last term fired the Egyptian to a fourth Premier League Golden Boot. The 32-year-old has now netted 184 times in the top-flight for the Reds, cementing himself as one of the club’s best ever players.
