Real Madrid and Chelsea could reach a mutually beneficial agreement to resolve Andriy Lunin’s future.
The Ukrainian international has stalled on a contract offer in Madrid with Los Blancos open to keeping him on a long term deal.
However, despite the offer, Lunin is concerned by guarantees over his first team role with Thibaut Courtois now back to full fitness.
With Lunin’s position uncertain, transfer interest in him has developed, with Chelsea linked to bringing him to Stamford Bridge.
The expectation if Lunin leaves is that Kepa Arrizabalaga will accept another loan deal in the Spanish capital.
As per reports from Mundo Deportivo, that agreement could be sped up by Lunin joining the Blues, as part of a ‘win-win’ for both teams ahead of the new season.
Chelsea are keen to offload Kepa from their inflated salary list in London but they will look to lower Real Madrid’s €25m asking price as part of potential talks to bring in Lunin.
