The Premier League is now in its sixth game week for the 22/23 season, so here we have our predictions for how we think the fixtures will play out.
Much like the rest of the Premier League season thus far, game week six provided us with immense entertainment. We saw a plethora of VAR controversy throughout most fixtures, leading to some certainly intriguing results.
The Merseyside derby ended in a goalless draw, with Conor Coady‘s goal being just ruled out for offside. We saw Phillipe Coutinho robbed of a thunderstrike against Manchester City and we saw the flying Red Devils defeat Arsenal at Old Trafford. It certainly was an eventful weekend in the Premier League.
But now we turn our attention to game week six, where we have another batch of delicious fixtures to sink our teeth into.
So, with this – here are our predictions for how we think the fixtures in game week 6 will play out.
Chelsea will be feeling confident after their result against West Ham, their season may finally be getting kickstarted – so we predict a win for them against Fulham.
Prediction: Fulham 0 – 2 Chelsea
A battle of the B’s – but who will prevail? Bournemouth produced a staggering comeback against Nottingham Forest in game week six, however, Brighton look very decent. We predict a Seagulls win.
Prediction: Bournemouth 1 – 3 Brighton
Two teams desperate for points, Leicester more so as they sit bottom of the Premier League. Steven Gerrard‘s side should get the win.
Liverpool are having a shaky start to the season, however, they should still beat Wolves.
Prediction:
Brentford are one of the in-form sides in the Premier League at the moment, they’re scoring goals for fun and should continue to do the same in this fixture.
Prediction: Southampton 1 – 3 Brentford
The stand-out fixture of the weekend. It should be a cracker. We think Pep Guardiola‘s side will come out on top.
Prediction: Man City 2 – 1 Tottenham
Mikel Arteta‘s men suffered their first defeat of the season on the weekend, but they should return to winning ways in this one.
An intriguing one here, probably the toughest to call out of all the fixtures. We’ll say a draw.
The 4:30 PM Sunday fixture is another great one, with Crystal Palace taking on Manchester United. Erik ten Hag’s men are on fire at the moment, and we think they’ll continue their winning streak.
Monday night football is back again, as Leeds take on Forest. We predict a draw in this one.
