Chelsea are considering the sale of Nicolas Jackson this summer with AC Milan and Premier League clubs interested in the forward.
Enzo Maresca has added Jamie Gittens, Liam Delap and Joao Pedro to his attacking options this summer, with the latter marking his debut with both goals in Tuesday’s 2-0 semi-final win over Fluminense at the Club World Cup. The new recruits could lead to exits, with Noni Madueke also closing in on a transfer to Arsenal.
Jackson could be the next to depart, with Fabrizio Romano reporting a transfer is possible. AC Milan have enquired into the availability of the Senegalese striker but are unable to match Chelsea’s current asking price.
Several sides in England are also monitoring the situation and Manchester United and Aston Villa have been linked with Jackson in recent months. Villa boss Unai Emery previously worked with the player at former club Villarreal.
Jackson joined Chelsea from the Spanish side in 2023 and has scored 31 goals in 80 appearances for the West Londoners across all competitions.
Despite that respectable record, he has been criticised for a wastefulness around goal and moments of ill-discipline.
The 24-year-old was sent off as Chelsea lost a crucial clash against Newcastle United in the Premier League last season for a wayward elbow, before earning another red card in the club’s Club World Cup defeat to Flamengo earlier this summer.
Chelsea would want to make a healthy profit on the club’s £32m investment two years ago to sanction a sale.
