Olympique de Marseille are reportedly unhappy with Jonathan Clauss’ (31) commitment and have opened the door to a departure. According to RMC Sport, Premier League clubs, and Galatasaray, have enquired about the France international’s availability.
Clauss came off injured against AS Monaco in tears. Marseille feared the worst for their right-back, but tests have failed to show any issues. Foot Mercato report that this incident has led OM’s hierarchy to question Clauss’ commitment. Les Phocéens reportedly believe that their right-back is more concerned about his place in the France squad at EURO 2024 than about the trajectory of the struggling club.
Marseille are therefore willing to sell Clauss before the closure of the transfer window. However, they will not be giving the France international away, and offers below OM’s valuation will be rejected. Galatasaray, who have just lost Sacha Boey to Bayern Munich, and two unnamed Premier League clubs, have made enquiries, according to RMC Sport.
