There is no doubt that the biggest match in La Liga this weekend will take place at the Estadi Olimpic in Montjuic. Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, who are first and second in the standings respectively, will face off in a mouth-watering occasion.
The big news for Barcelona going into this one is that Lamine Yamal is unavailable due to an ankle injury. As such, Hansi Flick will need a replacement, and Sport say that it will be Fermin Lopez that starts on the left, with Raphinha shifting over to the right wing – this would be the only change from the standard line-up.
Atleti have won their last 11 matches across all competitions, and a 12th would see them top La Liga going into 2025. Diego Simeone is expected to make only one change from the side that narrowly defeated Getafe last weekend, with Conor Gallagher returning in place of Samuel Lino.
This should be a great spectacle. Barcelona are in poor form of late, having won only once in their last six La Liga matches, but they will be up for this one. On the other hand, Atletico Madrid are more than capable of extending this bad streak.
