Tottenham Hotspur will have to win their remaining matches in Group G of the Europa Conference League to avoid a playoff or worse, starting with a trip to Slovenian champions NS Mura this evening.

Antonio Conte is bringing the bulk of his first-team squad for the encounter, in a different approach to that of his predecessor Nuno Santo, but he is still expected to largely rotate his squad.

Will Spurs top their group?

Over the next eight days, Spurs will play three times, with an away trip to Turf Moor to face Burnley on Sunday before hosting Premier League newcomers Brentford this time next week.

It will be interesting to see what sort of side the Italian will select as he is also having to contend with injury concerns, too.

Here’s how Football FanCast think the north Londoners will line up in Slovenia tonight…

There could be as many as nine changes from the side that defeated Leeds United 2-1 on Sunday.

Only central defender Eric Dier and versatile frontman Heung-min Son are likely to keep their places.

It means that, between the sticks, ‘cup ‘keeper’ Pierluigi Gollini resumes his duties, handing a rest to club captain Hugo Lloris, whilst Dier could be joined by rarely-seen Joe Rodon and Davinson Sanchez, who impressed in his 20 minutes on the pitch at the weekend.

Both wing-backs are changed, with Ryan Sessegnon set to start in the place of Sergio Reguilon, whilst Matt Doherty gets the nod over Emerson Royal on the right.

With Oliver Skipp available again following his league suspension, he could garner some minutes in the engine room, partnering Tanguy Ndombele, who is yet to start a game under Conte.

It means Harry Winks is axed, with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg being gifted a break.

Further up the pitch, it would be hard to imagine the Italian leaving both Son and Harry Kane out, so the latter is rested instead. He could be joined by Dele Alli and Bryan Gil in those inside-forward roles.

Steven Bergwijn hasn’t travelled after not training on Wednesday and Lucas Moura could also earn a breather, so it leaves the Spurs boss light on alternatives.
