Predicted Marseille XI v Monaco

Article image:Predicted Marseille XI v Monaco

Olympique de Marseille will notably be without first-choice goalkeeper Pau López when they take on AS Monaco at the Stade Vélodrome on Saturday night.

López is therefore set to be replaced by compatriot Ruben Blanco in goal for the crucial fixture, which could allow Les Phocéens to create a buffer between themselves and the podium-chasing pack. Elsewhere, Eric Bailly is still suspended following his red-card challenge in the Coupe de France, whilst Jonathan Clauss is working his way back to full fitness.

Alexis Sanchez is set to be part of an attacking trident that will also include Mattéo Guendouzi and new signing Ruslan Malinovskyi. Dimitri Payet is set to start from the bench.

Azzedine Ounahi is expected to watch from the stands. Marseille have announced an agreement in principle to sign the Moroccan international from SCO Angers, and he is expected at the Vélodrome tonight ahead of a medical tomorrow.
