Manchester United will be trying to bounce back from their Manchester derby defeat when they take on Omonia Nicosia in the Europa League.

The Red Devils have one win and one loss from their first two games in the Europa League this season, so there’s little room for more hiccups along the way because Erik ten Hag’s side should be topping the group.

Meanwhile, our opponents Omonia are rock bottom of the group without a single point to their name. That doesn’t give United a license to underestimate the hosts on Thursday night.

Omonia are managed by former Celtic manager and player Neil Lennon who is set to become the second British manager to lead a side out against Manchester United in European competition.

Without further ado, we’re going to predict Ten Hag’s line-up to face Omonia.

Although Martin Dubravka has returned from injury, David de Gea is expected to start between the posts. The back four will consist of Diogo Dalot, Victor Lindelof, Lisandro Martinez, and Luke Shaw.

Casemiro will start the game in midfield because he needs more minutes under his belt before the trip to Goodison Park. The former Real Madrid midfielder will be joined by Fred and Fernandes.

In attack, Ronaldo returns and could be joined by Anthony Martial and Facundo Pellistri in attack.

Pellistri returned from injury before the international break and was an unused substitute in the Manchester derby. The Uruguayan wingers needs minutes on the pitch.

Stretty News predicted XI to face Omonia: De Gea; Dalot, Lindelof, Martinez, Shaw; Casemiro, Fred, Fernandes; Pellistri, Ronaldo, Martial.
