Inter and Milan lock horns with each other for the second time within the space of a month, but the clash on Sunday could prove vital for the Scudetto race.

The two sides took on each other on the 18th of January in the Supercoppa Italiana final, but the Rossoneri fell to a 3-0 loss and that is a sign of how things went on to be for them. Milan have not won a single game since then and the disappointment reached a peak when they lost 5-2 to Sassuolo at San Siro.

Inter meanwhile, picked up a solid 1-0 win over Atalanta recently to reach the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia and they are second in the table, despite their inconsistencies this season.

As per Gianluca di Marzio, Milan Skriniar could return to action after the drama surrounding him and a move to Paris Saint-Germain in January. Romelu Lukaku, who isn’t having the best of times, is expected to be on the bench despite a promising game against La Dea.

As for Milan, the Rossoneri are expected to stick with Cyprian Tatarusanu despite his poor recent form but with Ismael Bennacer out injured, Tommasso Pobega should start in midfield beside Sandro Tonali. While Rafael Leao was on the bench against Sassuolo, he should be back starting at the weekend.

Predicted Inter XI: Onana; Skriniar, Acerbi,Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Martinez, Dzeko

Predicted Milan XI: Tatarusanu; Calabria, Kalulu, Kjaer, Hernandez; Pobega, Tonali; Saelemaekers, Krunic, Leao; Giroud
