Everton will look to maintain their recent impressive form when they travel to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Toffees scored a late goal at Goodison Park to secure a 2-2 win against Liverpool in the Premier League in midweek, and they have shown signs of resurgence under new manager David Moyes.
Ahead of the match, Moyes confirmed that star forward Iliman Ndiaye will be ruled out for several weeks with a medial knee ligament injury.
The Toffees will also be without Abdoulaye Doucoure, who will be suspended after receiving a red card after the final whistle in the previous game.
The likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Armando Broja, Youssef Chermiti and Dwight McNeil are currently out injured, while Everton are missing Seamus Coleman as well.
Moyes said in the press conference that he could look to the academy to bolster his options.
Jordan Pickford is set to continue in goal, and Moyes is unlikely to make any changes at the back. This means James Tarkowski, Jake O’Brien, Vitalii Mykolenko, and Jarrad Branthwaite should form the backline.
James Garner and Idrissa Gueye should continue in midfield. In the absence of Doucoure, Moyes is likely to start with Carlos Alcaraz. The 22-year-old midfielder is set to make his first start in the Premier League since joining from Flamengo.
In the absence of Ndiaye, the door opens for Jack Harrison to make an impact. Jesper Lindstrom will probably play on the left-hand side, with Beto playing as a lone striker.
Chris Sutton has predicted a 1-0 loss for Everton against the Eagles.
