Bayern Munich host Eintracht Frankfurt at the Allianz Arena in the Bundesliga Topspiel on Saturday.

Julian Nagelsmann’s Bayern must find a response following their winless start to 2023 after draws against RB Leipzig and FC Köln. RB Leipzig’s 2-1 win against Stuttgart on Friday night has shortened Bayern’s lead to just one point. With a win in the Berlin derby against Hertha BSC on Saturday afternoon, Bayern could find themselves on level points by the time 18:30CET comes around.

Speaking ahead of Bayern Munich’s game against Eintracht Frankfurt, Nagelsmann stated that Leon Goretzka would be the only player missing. That means we can expect to see either Ryan Gravenberch or Marcel Sabitzer start alongside Joshua Kimmich in central-midfield.

Expect Yann Sommer to remain in goal and the back four to stay unchanged with Benjamin Pavard, Dayot Upamecano, Matthijs de Ligt and Alphonso Davies all playing. Ahead of the double pivot, Kingsley Coman is expected to get the nod ahead of Serge Gnabry with Leroy Sané, Jamal Musiala and Eric-Maxim Choupo Moting all keeping their place.

As for Eintracht Frankfurt, Kevin Trapp is expected to start if he’s recovered from his cold. Oliver Glasner’s SGE also boast one of the Bundesliga’s best attacks with Jesper Lindstrøm, Mario Götze and Randal Kolo Muani.
