Got your breath back from the Champions League yet? Nor have we.
But thereâs no time to rest, weâre right back at the Power Rankings.
Milan have earned our sympathy for their Champions League exploits, losing narrowly to Liverpool at Anfield and then even more narrowly to Atlético Madrid, despite playing over half the game with 10 men.
Still, you canât ignore the performances and you certainly canât ignore their Serie A form, where five wins and a draw have them right in the title race mix.
Everything seemed to be going so well for Carlo Ancelotti and Real Madrid. The Spanish giants remain unbeaten in LaLiga and top of the table but then came midweek and Sheriff Tiraspol, who delivered maybe the biggest shock in the modern history of the Champions League.
That was always going to lead to a big Power Rankings slide.
Well, Benfica are on a mission. Seven wins from seven and a goalless Champions League draw in Ukraine was impressive enough before midweek but a 3-0 win over Barcelona? Now they have our attention.
Rafa, Darwin NĂșñez and Roman Yaremchuk look lethal as a front three and more surprises could be right around the corner from the Portuguese outfit.
Ajax are blistering their way through the Eredivisie again and are threatening to do the same in the Champions League.
With 37 goals in just nine league and Champions League games, you should be watching them whenever possible.
It has been a week to forget for the Champions League holders, who looked toothless in defeats to Manchester City and Juventus.
After a bright start to the new season the Blues havenât looked so dangerous in two tough challenges and Thomas Tuchel will have to do more than just use Romelu Lukaku to get more out of his attack.
A superb win at Chelsea was followed up by a disappointing defeat at Paris Saint-Germain. What next?
City were absolutely brilliant at Stamford Bridge, carving Chelsea apart while never looking shaky at the back themselves. They werenât bad in midweek either but were lacking that finishing touch in front of goal. Just how good they are right now still remains a little up in the air.
In case you arenât already, itâs time to start taking Luciano Spallettiâs side very seriously.
Itâs win after win in the league, with PSG now up to eight in a row domestically.
Things donât look shabby in Europe, either. They may not quite have been fully deserved winners against Manchester City but they underlined their credentials as Champions League contenders all the same, especially with Lionel Messi now off the mark.
That 3-3 at Brentford was spectacular, wasnât it? Liverpool looked brilliant going forward but less brilliant at the back. That was swiftly corrected for the trip to a Portugal and a 5-1 win over Porto.
JĂŒrgen Kloppâs side are back to their best.
Itâs now nine wins in a row for Julian Nagelsmann and Bayern across all competitions. Including victories over Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona, and RB Leipzig.
Is there any stopping them?
