Another week, another Power Rankings update.

Quietly — very quietly, actually — Atleti have put a run together. Without anyone really noticing, they are six unbeaten in LaLiga and have climbed to fourth in the table, winning three of their last four games 1-0.

That’s the old Diego Simeone style right there and it is paying off.

9. Inter (🆕)

The Serie A title is out of reach but Inter have still rallied to find their feet in recent weeks, winning 11 of their last 14 games across all competitions.

They have lost just once in that run, which has seen them up to second in the league, into the Coppa Italia semi-finals and, now, take a lead into the Champions League round of 16 second leg thanks to Romelu Lukaku.

8. Bayern Munich (👎 Last week: 7)

Just when Bayern look like they’re clicking into gear they drop more points. An early red card for Dayot Upamecano saw them struggle to a 3-2 defeat at Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Having failed to build on their Champions League dominance in Paris last week — a 1-0 win was good but not as much as they deserved — they have now seen their Bundesliga lead cut down, with Dortmund and Union Berlin now level on points, as Julian Nagelsmann’s men picked up just two wins from their last six Bundesliga games.

7. Porto (👎 Last week: 5)

A long winning run, and an even longer unbeaten run, came to an end on Wednesday as Porto lost at San Siro.

Still, those runs still count for a lot and a 1-0 defeat to Inter keeps them in the Champions League hunt.

6. Arsenal (No change)

Arsenal have had a rocky spell of late but are back to the top of the Premier League after a rallying second half at Aston Villa.

Whether that is the storm weathered remains to be seen but it felt like a significant moment and just what was needed to end their slump.

5. Monaco (🆕)

With five wins in a row in all competitions, including an impressive Europa League victory at Bayer Leverkusen, Monaco are in top form.

That run includes a win against PSG and a 7-1 win over Ajaccio. Monaco are not a team you want to face right now.

4. Manchester United (👍 Last week: 10)

Manchester United are on fire. Propelled by Marcus Rashford’s incredible form, they’ve charged into the title race, they battled well to draw at Barcelona, they’re through in the FA Cup and they can pick up their first piece of silverware under Erik ten Hag with the EFL Cup final on Sunday.

Things are looking great at Old Trafford.

3. Barcelona (👎 Last week: 1)

LaLiga highlights available in UK and Ireland only

Now 18 unbeaten – 16 wins in that time – Barcelona are on fire
but they will be disappointed by last week’s Camp Nou draw against Manchester United.

They have a tough task ahead of them at Old Trafford on Thursday now.

2. Borussia Dortmund (👍 Last week: 3)

Dortmund are now the only team in Europe’s top leagues to have won all their games in 2023.

Eight games across all competitions, eight wins, level on points with Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga now and ahead of Chelsea in the Champions League after one leg.

1. Napoli (👍 Last week: 2)

Now 15 points clear at the top of Serie A, Napoli continue to inspire and impress.

Frankfurt were the latest to taste defeat against the Italian side, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia superb again and Victor Osimhen on the scoresheet once more.
