What a week it has been since our last Power Rankings!
Real Madrid have had a horrible time of it and slip out of the top 10 as we welcome three new faces.
Here are our top 10 form teams from across Europe âŠ
Yes, theyâre back! Thatâs what happens when you convincingly beat Juventus to stay just three points from the top.
Inter were fantastic last weekend and reminded us that maybe our concerns were a little premature. Theyâre fighting for the title.
Juventus on the rise despite losing that game? Yes.
The fact is, Juve have looked good again for weeks after their slow start, and they picked up silverware on Wednesday as they beat Napoli in the Supercoppa Italiana. You canât keep a good man (or Old Lady?) down.
Weâve been toying with the idea of reintroducing Sporting for weeks as theyâve quietly gone about their business but a defeat in the Portuguese Cup put us off. And then a draw in the league.
But then they beat Porto in midweek. The win came in the Portuguese League Cup, sure, but itâs also the first time theyâve beaten Porto without needing penalties since 2016. Factor in theyâre top of the league (and still unbeaten), four points clear of Porto, and the win could also be a huge psychological boost.
The last few weeks have shown a couple of things. One: Barcelona are still pretty good. Two: Barcelona are still pretty vulnerable.
They did reach the Supercopa de España final (just) but then lost it and lost Lionel Messi, who saw red for the first time in his career. A mixed bag but theyâre still in much better shape than they were in before Christmas.
Bayern are on the rise despite not really convincing. Still, after the week theyâd had, the points were all that mattered. After losing twice in six days, Hansi Flickâs men have bounced back to win two in four.
Manuel Neuer and the crossbar won the points against Freiburg at the weekend and Bayern needed a missed Augsburg penalty in midweek, but they wonât mind. Being back to winning ways is the most important thing and their Bundesliga lead is now four points.
âWe are not up there by fluke. We are up there because we work hard,â James Maddison said to Sky after Leicester beat Chelsea. âListen, people might talk about the Uniteds, the Liverpools and the Tottenhams or whatever. But let them talk.â
Three wins in a row and Leicester are third. We think Maddison summed it up better than we could.
Milan won again on Monday night to keep their lead at the top of Serie A, but they finished with 10 men for third time in their last five games. Whatâs going on there?!
Anyway, Stefano Pioliâs men continue to impress and look ready to go the distance this season.
Down two places but more because of the top two than because theyâve done anything wrong themselves.
Atlético recorded an impressive 2-0 win over Sevilla at the weekend to stretch their lead at the top of the table to four points ⊠with two games in hand!
So close. So so close to top spot. And deservedly so. What a week!
A 0-0 draw at Anfield was a good result and United had the best chance of the game before they turned up at Fulham and left with all three points to stay top of the Premier League. But one team just looks a little more impressive right now âŠ
Man City are back.
