Itâs that time of the week again and shaky form in competitions not named the Champions League means Real Madrid continue to narrowly miss out.
Here are the latest OneFootball Power Rankings.
The Manchester United bubble hasnât exactly burst but it is not thriving either, with memories of that 7-0 defeat against Liverpool quickly banished by the 4-1 win over Real Betis but the joy of that short-lived until Casemiroâs red card and a 0-0 draw with Southampton on Saturday spoiled the mood again.
A deep Europa League run and staving off a fight for top four now feel like the most United can hope for heading into the final few months of the season. Itâs not bad going, but it hasnât been a good couple of weeks.
Heard the one about Will Still? Course you have.
Anyway, itâs still worth praising him and his Reims side, who are now an astonishing 19 Ligue 1 games unbeaten. Theyâve won the last three of those and not conceded in their last six. Those European places are getting closer and closer.
Champions League quarter-finalists with eight league wins in a row, things are rosy for Benfica right now.
Roger Schmidtâs side have scored in 29 consecutive matches and look well set
After 10 wins in a row, a 2-0 defeat to Chelsea and a Champions League exit was disappointing. The 2-2 draw at struggling rivals Schalke was an even bigger blow, allowing Bayern Munich to create a two-point lead at the top of the Bundesliga.
Injuries and illness have hampered the progress that Dortmund kicked the year off with, but they will want to get back to winning ways quickly before the season threatens to peter out.
Serie A highlights available in UK and Ireland only
Juventus are scoring plenty and not conceding many. You wouldnât have believed that a few months ago. Now with eight wins from their last 10 (and five in their last six) there is no more chatter surrounding Massimiliano Allegriâs position at the club.
Juve are still fighting on three fronts and thatâs despite DuĆĄan VlahoviÄâs recent barren spell in front of goal. With NicolĂČ Fagioli and Fabio Miretti shining brightly, the future looks to be in safe hands and the present is just fine too.
LaLiga highlights available in UK and Ireland only
No longer being in Europe is going to harm Barcelona more and more as the Power Rankings weeks go on.
They have recovered from that LaLiga slip at AlmerĂa and the Europa League exit at the hands of Manchester United but they are scraping on by, winning each of their last three games 1-0, as they maintain their advantage at the top of the table in Spain.
Not a slide because Bayern Munich were bad at the weekend, but because others have been more convincing since.
Augsburg did enough to make the Bundesliga giants wobble at home before winning 5-3. Once again, it feels like Bayern take their eye off the ball when things are safe, but when they need to pump through the gears they can do so effortlessly and blow opponents away. Nobody will want them in Fridayâs Champions League draw.
A 2-2 draw at Sporting saw Arsenal leave Lisbon with no new injuries â a big bonus at this stage of the season â and with a home leg to play. Then Sundayâs 3-0 win at Fulham was utterly dominant and saw the return of Gabriel Jesus from injury.
The Brazilian looked sharp but, given Leandro Trossardâs performance, he will have to fight for his place. Which is no bad thing for the Gunners.
Serie A highlights available in UK and Ireland only
Another dominant performance saw Napoli breeze into the Champions League quarter-finals this midweek, not that it was ever in doubt.
The recent defeat to Lazio was quickly put to one side both in Serie A and in Europe, with 2-0 and 3-0 wins over Atalanta and Frankfurt, to make it nine wins out of ten in all competitions. That one defeat was a blip Napoli but remain on course for success.
Manchester City have quietly clicked into top gear. The weekendâs 1-0 win over Crystal Palace may not have looked spectacular but it was what they needed before the 7-0 demolition of RB Leipzig in the Champions League.
Just when it felt Erling Haaland had slowed down a little, he sped right back up. City have won five in a row, scoring 13 in the process and keeping clean sheets in the last four.
Theyâre back.
