A busy week means a big update to our Power Rankings but there is no return for Manchester City as they drew again in midweek to make it just one win in four.
Here are the top 10 form teams in Europe.
Serie A highlights available in UK and Ireland only
Some mixed results in the Europa League, where Lazio sit in an incredibly tight Group F with all four sides on five points, hide the fact that this side is really chugging along nicely.
Maurizio Sarri has them playing some exciting football and their form in Serie A has seen them win five of their last six games to stay in touch at the top with Sergej MilinkoviÄ-SaviÄ back to his very best.
A shock defeat to VfL Bochum last weekend was a second defeat in four league games and saw Unionâs lead at the top of the Bundesliga cut to just one point.
Union have at least corrected course in Europe after a slow start but both of their wins there came against pointless Malmö and bigger tests now await both domestically and internationally.
Rennes have quietly now gone 12 games unbeaten across all competitions, claiming 10 from a possible 12 points in the Europa League and climbing to fourth in Ligue 1.
Martin Terrier and Amine Gouiri, both formerly of Lyon, are leading the charge and looking down on their former club in the process.
What a week for the Portuguese league leaders! A 1-0 win at Porto extended their unbeaten start in the league to 10 games and their lead at the top of the table to six points.
Then Juventus visited Lisbon and were sent back to northern Italy with their tails between their legs. Benfica arenât just qualified from their Champions League group but could yet leapfrog PSG on the final matchday next week after impressively drawing both of their games with the French giants.
Darwin NĂșñez is not being missed too sorely and Roger Schmidt is working wonders from the dugout.
Rotation in Leipzig saw Carlo Ancelottiâs team slip to their first defeat of the season in midweek despite a much improved second half showing.
Still, 14 wins, two draws and just one defeat is some start to a season.
The fact Karim Benzema has not been available at all times hasnât hurt Madrid just yet and their next few fixtures look kind, but they will need their talismanic forward fit and firing after the World Cup.
Chelsea may have drawn two games in a row but they remain unbeaten under Graham Potter and have now sailed through their Champions League group after a tricky start.
A smart first half change of shape against Manchester United on Sunday helped them get a grip after struggling early on, with Potter showing his tactical nous.
There is a lot more to come, one would think, with the team still struggling both for clean sheets and for regular goals but they are keeping things tidy enough at both ends to keep picking up results.
If you didnât believe it after a deserved draw with Manchester City, or a cruel late goal denying them at Anfield, or a draw at Old Trafford, maybe Newcastleâs 2-1 win at Tottenham has quelled your doubts.
The Magpies have now won four of their last five games to rise to fourth in the Premier League and they look more than capable of staying there having impressed in all of their biggest tests so far this season.
If theyâre still in the mix by Christmas, expect some January reinforcements to keep them ahead of schedule.
A draw at Southampton sees Arsenal slip here but they do remain top of the Premier League with nine wins from 11 games.
The goals appear to be drying up a bit since the 3-2 win over Liverpool, though, and rediscovering form in the final third will be the big test for Mikel Artetaâs side if they are to continue their fine start to the season.
PSG have responded superbly to three draws in a row with three wins, scoring 11 and conceding just two in the process.
Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappé helped themselves to two goals and two assists each against Maccabi Haifa, with Neymar also scoring, as Christophe Galtier continues to milk the most out of his incredible front three.
Still unbeaten across all competitions and with Messi in his best form in years, the club from the French capital look formidable.

Napoli continue to look untouchable.
Five wins from five in the Champions League, nine from 11 (including seven in a row) in Serie A and 33 goals in their last nine games across all competitions. Simply Europeâs must-watch team right now.
