On Chelsea’s UWCL quarter-final win over Lyon

“It was amazing, it just sums up the craziness of football. For Chelsea, we love it. I’m delighted for them.”

On Anthony Barry’s move to Bayern Munich

“Anthony is in discussions and the two clubs are in discussions. He’s away from us for the moment. It’s between the clubs, it’s not something I get involved in.

“I have huge respect for what he’s done, here. A fantastic coach, a fantastic person [but] we have a great staff that can fill the gap. The collective can solve the problem.”

On team news

“Thiago Silva and César Azpilicueta are still away. Raheem Sterling is coming back but will miss the game, more chance for Tuesday.

“Mason Mount has trained and is available, probably not for the start. Wesley Fofana will miss the game but has chance for Tuesday.

“Christian Pulisic has came back with a cold. Kai Havertz was fever but is recovered now. Reece James has had the last two training sessions with us so providing there is no reaction he should be available.”

On target for the season run-in

“Our goal is on the next match and to try and win the game. We’re Chelsea and we want to win. We play Aston Villa and want to win, Liverpool and want to win then Wolves and want to win.”

On potential impact to Chelsea’s transfer business

“I’ve heard nothing to be concerned about.”
