Potential move to MLS for former Ajax, Everton and Werder Bremen midfielder

Last summer Davy Klaasen traded the red and white of Ajax for the blue and black of Inter Milan, however the Dutchman has hardly played any minutes for the Italian giants. Klaassen has only appeared 3 times in the Serie A for Inter Milan, all of these from the bench.

According to MLS Transfers, Vancouver Whitecaps FC are interested in bringing the Dutchman across the channel to help boost their team. It would be beneficial for the Whitecaps if Klaassen would be willing to move to the MLS in the January transfer market, however it seems as though his desire is to see out his contract in Milan until the end of the 2024 season.

The Vancouver Whitecaps finished the 2023 season in sixth place in the Western Conference. They will be hoping that the acquisition of Klaassen will help them move up in the table for the 2024 season. Over the spell of two terms Klaassen spent nine years at Ajax in total, appearing 321 times for the Amsterdammers, scoring on 93 occasions and assisting 50 times. Klassen also spent time in England with Everton and the Bundesliga with Werder Bremen.
