Manager Ange Postecoglou has confirmed a major injury blow for Tottenham Hotspur ahead of their home game against Crystal Palace this weekend.

The Australian revealed star forward Richarlison has been ruled out for around three weeks with injury.

The 26-year-old was taken off in the 71st minute against Wolverhampton Wanderers in their latest Premier League fixture earlier this month.

“Going through the last game, Richy has picked up a bit of a knee injury, so he will be missing for two or three weeks,” Postecoglou said.

“He’s had a great middle part of the season for us and been a big contributor but that’s kind of how his season has gone and we’ll just have to compensate for him not being there.”

Richarlison has been a key member of Postecoglou’s team this season, and losing him for the next few weeks will be a big blow for Tottenham.

He is currently Spurs’ second-highest scorer with ten goals this season, with only Heung-min Son (12) ahead of him.

Tottenham will hope to have the forward back soon as they are in a fierce top-four race with Aston Villa and Manchester United.

They suffered a disappointing 2-1 loss to Wolverhampton Wanders in their last Premier League game.

They cannot afford many more slip-ups if they want to secure Champions League football next season.
