Lazio are still interested in signing Braga defender Bruno Viana on loan this month, according to a report from Portuguese newspaper A Bola earlier today.
The report details how Biancocelesti sporting director Igli Tare is a big fan of the 25-year-old Brazilian centre back, who is contracted to Braga until 2023.
The Roman club are thinking of signing him on a loan deal with a buy option attached, hoping to shore up Simone Inzaghi’s defense.
The deal is slightly confusing, as Lazio only just signed Argentinian defender Mateo Musacchio from AC Milan, and would need to cut another player from their Serie A squad registration list if they wanted to include Viana.
The 25-year-old Viana has made 22 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1757 minutes. In that time, he has scored two goals, picked up four yellow cards and helped the side keep nine clean sheets.
