Portsmouth went top of the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier, AFC Bournemouth and Newcastle United had over 10,000 spectators between them.

Leaders Burnley beat West Brom, Newcastle went clear in second place with five goals against Stourbridge, Nottingham Forest moved within a point of third-placed Wolves after defeating them 2-0. Liverpool Feds are up to fifth after beating Huddersfield Town, while Halifax held hosts Derby County.

Bethany Lumsden’s brace helped Portsmouth beat MK Dons 3-0 and knock Hashtag United off pole position on goal-difference. Plymouth Argyle put away four second-half goals in a 5-1 result against London Bees, Cheltenham Town and Chatham Town played out a goalless draw.

Loughborough Lightning held top spot with victory at fourth-placed Solihull Moors, Peterborough United still a point behind them after beating Boldmere. Sporting Khalsa thrashed Notts County and Northampton Town are fifth following a bug win over Leek Town.

Barnsley WFC extended their lead with victory over Leeds United, while six-goal Middlesbrough moved into second position. Stockport County saw off Chester le Street and Durham Cestria beat the Belles to rise into the top half.

AFC Wimbledon are still top by four points after winning at Actonians, Norwich City betting the better of Ashford Town by four goals to two. Cambridge United climbed to third with three points at Chesham United, QPR are fifth after also scoring four on the road at AFC Sudbury.

AFC Bournemouth made it nine straight wins in front of well over 6,000 at the Vitality Stadium, Exeter City kept up the pace with their eighth win in a row. Abingdon United scored eight and Moneyfields went one better in moving up to fifth.

Natasha Thomas made the breakthrough in the last 20 minutes at Cardiff City Ladies, Bonnie Horwood making sure of progress to the quarter-finals with a late penalty.

Sutton Coldfield Town edged out York City with an 89th-minute winner from substitute Rameyah Farquharson, Billericay had an easier passage into the quarter-finals against Southampton Women.
