Portsmouth’s attentions turn to Harrogate Town in the FA Cup this weekend as they look to take their improved league form into the second round of the competition.

The Verdict

Portsmouth have a famous association with the FA Cup and so there is always an expectancy at the club that, no matter what division they are in, they treat the competition with respect and as one that they want to go far in.

A match against Harrogate will be a test as they are playing well in League Two but it is a match that Pompey will expect to win, especially with their own league form in mind right now.
