Pedro Porro could make his debut for Tottenham against former side Manchester City this weekend, while Richarlison is also in line to return.

Spurs completed the signing of Porro from Sporting Lisbon on deadline day as the north Londoners sought to improve their options at wing-back.

Porro has shone across two-and-a-half seasons in Portugal, having been allowed to leave Manchester City without making a senior appearance.

The 23-year-old could now make his debut when Spurs face City in the Premier League this weekend, with assistant manager Cristian Stellini confirming that Porro is in contention to feature.

“He could be [in contention],” Stellini told the media.

“He is young but he has great experience. He plays in a similar system [at Sporting that] we play and he is available. We can use him in two days.

“He can improve but he is a great player, he’s good technically and we were impressed by his performance against us.”

Stellini also revealed that Spurs have been boosted with the return of Richarlison to training this week, while Lucas Moura has also rejoined the squad.

“He (Richarlison) had a small problem and now he is available. He has been training this week. We are happy to say that Lucas (Moura) has been training this week, he played 45 minutes with the young team.”

Stellini will take charge of this weekend’s clash as Antonio Conte recovers from surgery to remove his gallbladder this week. The Italian said no date has been set for Conte’s return to Spurs, but said that the 53-year-old was ‘recovering well at home’.

“We don’t know yet when he is coming back,” he said.

“The surgery was good. He’s recovering well at home. We have two days before the game and anything can happen.

“The decision will be made tomorrow. We are ready to do everything and probably the doctor who did the surgery will have to decide for him. We have 48 hours, two days to decide.”
