Tottenham Hotspur faced off against Southampton at the St. Mary’s Stadium earlier today as they hoped to secure a good result on the road. Spurs made a solid start to the game and opened the goal-scoring in the first half injury-time courtesy of Pedro Porro’s effort. Antonio Conte’s men went into the half-time interval 1-0 up on the scoreline.

Southampton equalised via Che Adams’ goal just one minute into the second half. However, Harry Kane restored his team’s lead in the 65th minute before Ivan Perisic made it 3-0 to Tottenham just nine minutes later. However, the home team came roaring back and managed to get themselves level thanks to Theo Walcott’s goal and James Ward-Prowse’s penalty late in the game. The contest ended with the North London club being held to a tough 3-3 draw away from home.
