The new Premier League season is almost upon us and to celebrate, we have enlisted the help of some football-loving pop stars to preview and predict the coming campaign.
Today we've got Oli Fox, a West Ham fan and one half of Good Neighbours!
â Iâm hoping to see just a little more cohesion and consistency in our squad. Last season saw us with a talented squad that didnât know how to be a team, so I hope Potter has drilled that into the boys.
â I hate to say that itâs now a âhot takeâ but I believe weâve recruited in such a way to secure a top half finish? Iâd dream of a Europa spot but thereâs been a lot of decent transfers from our main competition.
Thereâs a few things that I know will happen. Bowen will get into double figures, the fans will turn on Potter a couple of times, and we will have a decent FA Cup run but get knocked out by a silly club.
Iâm actually very interested to see if Man United can do anything with a new look team. I really donât like them as a team but some of the players theyâve employed like Mbeumo and Cunha deserve a shot at the big time. Itâs an exciting time for the Premier League.
Regardless of the team, Iâm not sure Ruben Amorim is the right manager for United. I can see him seeing the door mid-season.
El Hadji Malick â Diouf. Heâs had a steady start in pre-season but I really think heâs going to come into his own. We havenât had an athlete like him in wing back for a while, so Iâm excited to see how he shapes our attack.
Very tough. I think itâll be Wirtz for Liverpool, but he faces competition from the likes of Mo Salah and other 10s like Cole Palmer.
Mo Salah is the obvious shout but Iâm going to go with JoĂŁo Pedro as an outside vote.
Liverpool.
Sunderland, Wolves, Leeds.
Good Neighboursâ debut album, Blue Sky Mentality is out September 26th. Listen to track Suburbs now.
