At the Arena Civica in Milano, the Nerazzurre went head to head against Sottili's Como Women in search of their third consecutive victory in the Championship after the wins over Sassuolo and Roma. The opening was perfectly balanced, with Inter keeping the ball and trying immediately with Tomaselli's header off Merlo's cross. Como responded with Kramzar's counter that was closed down by Andrés and Kerr's shot from distance. The clearest chances of the first half came after the half-hour mark, first when Wullaert's close-range shot was blocked by Gilardi's excellent intervention, then with Andrés' header that went just wide.
The second half opened with Como's attempt by Nischler, who was anticipated by Rúnarsdóttir. In the 50th minute, Merlo served a ball into the middle for Cambiaghi, who narrowly missed a header. The first turning point of the match came on the hour mark and decided the fate of the two teams. Polli took Wullaert's place and got our breakthrough after 9 minutes. The Nerazzurri number 9 was found in the box by Schough's excellent intuition and scored her third consecutive goal in three games. The pace of the match increased. Como pushed for the equaliser and found their best chance yet in the 75th minute when Del Estal ran towards the goal with a ball lost by Tomaselli but was stopped by Rúnarsdóttir. Inter kept control of the game and blocked every attempt by Sottili's team, finding a very important victory that consolidated their second place in the table with 34 points.
