Manchester United suffered their second Premier League defeat of the season against Leicester despite goals from Mason Greenwood and the returning Marcus Rashford.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer now has a mountain to climb if he is to drag his side back into the title race with the defeat leaving them with only 14 points after eight games.

We take a look at how all of the Manchester United players rated in the 90-minute affair as they get ready to face Atalanta in the Champions League on Wednesday.

David de Gea – 7 Made some great saves and didn’t deserve to be on the losing side.

Aaron Wan-Bisska – 6 Not his best outing but certainly not his worst this season.

Victor Lindelof – 6 One of very few players who looked like they had a point to prove. Good assist.

Harry Maguire – 2 Up there with one of his worst performances for the club. Clearly, he was not fit to start the game and should have been given extra time to recover from his injury.

Luke Shaw – 4 His poor start to the season continues.

Nemanja Matic – 4 The game passed him by.

Paul Pogba – 3 Careless in possession, sloppy, lazy, and didn’t take responsibility defensively. Once again, he looks disinterested.

Bruno Fernandes – 5 The type of player who needs others to take responsibility in order to influence a match. Spoiler: they didn’t.

Mason Greenwood – 7 Fantastic goal to score his fourth of the season – United’s best player so far this season.

Jadon Sancho – 5 Tough afternoon for the winger.

Cristiano Ronaldo – 5 No service.

Substitutes Marcus Rashford – 6 Fantastic to see him back on the pitch and scoring. Rashford is going to be hugely important in the upcoming run of fixtures.
