Pochettino Provides a Hint on the Plan for PSG’s Prospects This Season | OneFootball

Playing time for Paris Saint-Germain’s prospects was among the key storylines for the team over its preseason schedule.

PSG featured in five friendly matches, and as many of its regular first-team talents were still away on vacation, the side elected to play some of its prospects in the fixtures. This includes Dutch midfielder Xavi Simons, who finished with two goals scored over the team’s preseason schedule.

For the moment, PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino does not have a definitive plan for the team’s prospects this season. Still, he did provide a hint during a recent press conference (via Le Parisien) as to just he plans to do with the team’s coveted talents.

“The young players have a very important role in this period,” Pochettino said. “In the training center, there are many qualities. We must wait until the end of the mercato to see if there are spaces for them or not. They must continue to work to have a chance in the future.”

PSG has been linked with multiple players over the past couple of weeks, so this could suggest that the club may not be done making moves just yet. Still, PSG’s prospects will surely be ready when called upon over the upcoming season.
