New Paris Saint-Germain manager Mauricio Pochettino faced the media for the first time on Tuesday.
“I am happy to be here. The club has changed a lot, but the passion and the love is the same. It feels like yesterday that I was playing here.
“I know what it means to be with Paris Saint-Germain. We are expected to win and we want to do that with style. I welcome the pressure.”
“We will see what his best position is. We do not like to talk about systems. We want the players to feel good to be as dynamic as possible.”
“Marquinhos will still be the captain. Concerning his position on the pitch, we will see what decision to take in the future.”
“Father Christmas already did a great job in bringing me here! But we will leave rumours (Lionel Messi) to one side.
“Any great player is welcome in Paris, but honestly, we have not discussed it.”
“We have amazing players at PSG, that is not news to anybody. Kylian can play in lots of positions.
“When you see him early on does not mean he will stay there. We will try to find the best position for his qualities.”
“Now is not the time to discuss rumours. We are in constant contact with Leonardo. The reality is complicated, globally, on this subject.”
“For PSG and may other clubs, the Champions League is the most important competition. There are many important competitions.
“We must build in order to arrive at the Barcelona match in our best shape.”
Pochettino will manage PSG for the first time on Wednesday when they take on Saint-Étienne in Ligue 1.
