According to the South London Press, the 21-year-old is now on Plymouth Argyle's radar, with Wayne Rooney taking an interest in the Crystal Palace player.

The winger did extremely well during the 2022/23 campaign, performing well at Charlton Athletic and doing more than enough at The Valley to either force his way into the Eagles' first team or earn a loan move to the Championship.

Palace opted to keep him - and that looked set to be a good decision on paper - but the player made just eight competitive appearances for the Premier League club last term and spent much of the season out injured.

With this in mind, a loan exit seems likely for the player, who isn't short of interest.

Southampton are thought to be very keen on the player - but they are yet to reach a breakthrough in negotiations and that could give the Pilgrims the opportunity to swoop in and secure a temporary agreement.

Russell Martin's side may have the finances to get a deal over the line following their promotion, but whether Palace are willing to sanction an exit for the winger to a league rival is currently unclear.

Rooney will be hoping for his squad to be as strong as possible when they play their opening game of the 2024/25 campaign.

Nathanael Ogbeta has joined permanently and Darko Gyabi, Muhamed Tijani and Ibrahim Cissoko have made loan moves to Devon, but there's more work to do between now and the end of the window.

Lining up potential replacements for Morgan Whittaker has to be near the top of their list of priorities, with the player potentially set to attract more interest in the coming weeks.

Fellow winger Rak-Sakyi could potentially be a temporary replacement, but as mentioned above, they aren't the only team in the race for him.

Rak-Sakyi would probably be guaranteed regular starts at Home Park - and could play a huge part in keeping the Pilgrims in the second tier.

A step up to the top half of the second tier would be a big move for him considering he last played regularly in the third tier.

This is another reason why a move to Plymouth could be a good one for him.

However, he may have several options on the table in the coming weeks and that's why the Pilgrims need to ensure that they are lining up alternative targets.

Wherever the winger decides to go, he needs to ensure that he wins as much game time as possible. At this stage of his career, game time is the most important thing.
