Plymouth Argyle have confidence in agreeing on a new deal with Andre Gray, whose contract is set to expire in January, according to journalist Darren Witcoop.
Gray joined the Championship side back in October as a free agent after he left Saudi outfit Al-Riyadh following an one-year spell.
The former Jamaican international signed a short-term deal with the Pilgrims which will expire on 3rd January.
The 33-year-old striker has started only four league matches but he has been able to chip in with three goals and one assist in the meantime.
He has impressed the Championship strugglers with his performances and they want to keep him at the club beyond January.
And now it has been suggested that Plymouth are confident that they will be able to tie down the experienced striker with a new contract.
They are looking to bring a new striker in and Liverpool’s 18-year-old starlet Jayden Danns is also on Wayne Rooney’s wish list.
Now it remains to be seen if Gray will sign a new deal with the Pilgrims and if he will be able to help them avoid relegation at the end of the campaign.
