PSV produced one of their best displays of the season to cruise to a 5-1 victory over Zurich in their second Europa League match.

Here’s how we think every player performed…

Walter Benitez, 6 – Had very little to do all night but did well when called upon, saving four of Zurich’s five shots on target.

Phillip Mwene, 6 – Didn’t do much wrong, but didn’t have that big an impact going forward either.

Andre Ramalho, 6 – Made a few small errors but was solid on the whole.

Armando Obispo, 7 – Looked assured at the back and on the ball, and got an assist with a lovely long pass before being subbed off at half-time.

Phillip Max, 6 – Positioned himself a little more cautiously than usual to prevent getting exposed defensively and was indeed untroubled, but didn’t contribute much offensively.

Ibrahim Sangare, 7 – Completely controlled the midfield, recovering the ball and playing it forward time and time again.

Joey Veerman, 7 – Created chances and started attacks with his excellent passing.

Xavi Simons, 7 – Lost the ball quite a few times but had some lovely touches and scored a good goal.

Ismael Saibari, 6 – Worked hard and had his moments but wasn’t able to create a huge amount.

Yorbe Vertessen, 5 – Didn’t do much, taking just 14 touches, but what he did do was excellent, with the Belgian getting two great goals, producing two glorious runs and finishes.

Cody Gakpo, 8 – Yet another absolutely stunning display from the winger, who got two stunning goals and a great assist. Erling Haaland is now the only man he doesn’t have more goal contributions than in Europe’s top leagues this season, with the two level on 22.
