A disappointing night in Eindhoven saw an uninspiring PSV side be held to a draw by Bodo/Glimt in their opening Europa League match.

Here’s how we rated each player’s performance…

OneFootball Videos

Walter Benitez, 8 – Saved his team from suffering defeat with two fantastic saves right at the end, and couldn’t do anything about Bodo/Glimt’s goal.

Jordan Teze6 – Undoubtedly the best of PSV’s defenders both on and off the ball.

Armando Obispo, 5 – Looked shaky at the back and wasn’t good with the ball at his feet, giving the ball away a lot.

Phillip Max, 5 – Like Mwene on the other side, couldn’t create anything with the ball at his feet in promising areas out wide.

Ibrahim Sangare, 6 – Won the ball back multiple times and created some chances with his passing.

Xavi Simons, 6 – Made some great runs but often got it wrong with his final ball, although his team-mates’ movement didn’t help.

Joey Veerman, 4 – A really bad display from the midfielder. He created nothing, lost the ball multiple times and often looked like he didn’t care. Not the performance he needed to deliver with Louis van Gaal decided whether to include him in his next Netherlands squad.

Ismael Saibari, 6 –

Yorbe Vertessen, 4 –

Cody Gakpo, 7 –

Anwar El Ghazi, 7 – Made an instant impact, getting an assist as soon as he came on. The attack was much more dangerous with him on.

Savio, 5 – Put in one nice cross but made multiple errors too.
