Inter’s winning streak came to an end at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona after a 1-1 draw against Napoli.

Lorenzo Insigne’s cross was put into his own net by the Nerazzurri captain Handanovic giving the home side the lead in the first half. Christian Eriksen equalized in the second half and the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

OneFootball Videos

Samir Handanovic – 5.5: Was good on the ball under pressure and made regulation saves. Yes, the Insigne cross was tough to handle but he should have done better on it.

Milan Skriniar – 5.5: Did not have the best of starts to the game. Hakimi was AWOL when Inter had the ball and the Napoli pressed the defense. No outlets to move play.

Stefan De Vrij – 6.5: Unlucky to be partially involved in the own goal but had a decent game otherwise. Helped his team move up the pitch and build some decent moves.

Alessandro Bastoni – 6: Gattuso’s men made sure Bastoni did not get a lot of chances to play the long diagonal balls to the front two. When he could they looked brilliant.

Achraf Hakimi – 5.5: Not decisive enough in the few attacking moves Inter had at the start. Took too many touches or made the wrong decisions. Overthinks in attack.

Nicolo Barella – 6: Nice to see Nico back after his suspension. Ran a lot as usual but could not help bringing the ball out of Napoli’s press especially in the first half. Class.

Marcelo Brozovic – 6: A lot of defensive work for Brozovic and Napoli pressed him more than the other midfielders. One poor touch and Insigne made Inter pay dearly.

Christian Eriksen – 6.5: Could not find his feet in all the first half. His touch eluded him, and he could not get involved. But when the chance came, he rifled that into the goal.

Matteo Darmian – 6: Did not shoot when he had the chance in the first half and that was a huge chance. His run to the far post resulted in the goal. New Mr. Dependable?

Romelu Lukaku – 5.5: Romelu has set the bar so high that his game tonight seemed like one of his worst. Got involved and never got that luck he needed in front of goal.

Lautaro Martinez – 6: As is now standard, Il Toro ran a lot and did a lot of the dirty work. Deserved an assist for that Barella chance he created out of nothing. Growing.

Ivan Perisic – 6: Conte mentioned that Perisic returned to training on Thursday, and it showed. He was brought on for 20 mins or so as Darmian was booked. Back.

Alexis Sanchez – 6: Could have got an assist at the end had Hakimi decided to shoot and not cutback to no one in. Ran plenty and caused Napoli some trouble.

Roberto Gagliardini – N/A: Another 6 mins or so for Gagliardini. Brought on for Eriksen, who did not really have a great game but still managed to affect the result in a major way.

Antonio Conte – 5: The game plan was the same as it is, however, a higher quality team like Napoli piled pressure and the best plays only came after going behind.

Daniele Doveri – 6: Just one major decision to make and that was more due to the confusion by the assistant referee. Did not fall for any tricks. The bookings were easy.

Inter – 6: Inter sat back and maybe a bit too much against Insigne and co, however they realized the error of their ways. Important point all things considered.
