Jonathan Gradit, 5

Kevin Danso, 6 – Defended proactively throughout and made a crucial last ditch block on a first half Boufal shot which seemed goal bound otherwise.

Facundo Medina, 4

Cheick Doucouré, 4

Seko Fofana, 6 – Perhaps not the domineering force of his best form this year in what was a hard fought midfield battle, but once again drove his team forward with his mobility, direct style and passing. He nearly won it late on too after a shimmy and powerful shot which was well saved.

Przemysław Frankowski, 6

Jonathan Clauss, 6 – Again his deliveries were routinely threatening. His corners in particular were a real menace and should have given his two assists after two woeful attempts from receiving teammates with the goal gaping.

Florian Sotoca, 5 – He nipped in between defenders to poach the second Lens goal but missed a huge chance to make it 3-1 and likely win the game.

Gaël Kakuta, 7 – One of his most lively displays for some time. His energy created openings for Lens as did his drive from deeper positions and intelligent use of the ball. His volleyed finish for 1-1 was sublime.

Ignatius Ganago, 4

Others: Haidara 5, Jean 5, Costa 5, Wooh 5, Cahuzac 5.

ANGERS – 2 (Boufal 40, Thomas 70)

Danijel Petković, 6 – Solid again in Bernardoni’s absence, there was little he could do about either goal and a flying late stop from a rasping Fofana effort saved the draw for his side.

Vincent Manceau, 4

Ismaël Traoré, 4

Romain Thomas, 5 – He maybe could have kept better tabs on Sotoca as he slipped in for Lens’ second but he also leaps highest to head Angers’ equaliser.

Azzedine Ounahi, 7 – It now seems as if he’s cemented his place in the team after another silky, creative display, pushing forward from midfield. His deft through ball put Boufal in for the opener.

Thomas Mangani, 5

Souleyman Doumbia, 6

Jimmy Cabot, 5

Angelo Fulgini, 7 – Typically low-key with his economy of movement in his technique and neat use of the ball but he was involved in first by exchanging quick passes with Boufal and it was his cross that invited Thomas to head the second.

Sofiane Boufal, 7 – He’s starting to look like the Boufal of old that Lille fans will remember so fondly. It was his incisive run and dinked finish that created the first out of very little and he was a jinking, skilful threat throughout.

Mohamed-Ali Cho, 4

Others: Capelle 5, Ninga 5, Ebosse 5.
