Andy Robertson – 7.0

The Scotland international captain came back into the side after missing out last weekend. The former Hull man was lively and a constant option high on the left and maybe should have created an assist through a solid opening 45-minutes. As the whistle restarted the game, the 30-year-old was again solid and an easy option when needed.

Jarell Quansah – 8.0

The England under-21 international defender retained his place again as a show of his rise to prominence this season. An early and decisive block was later followed by the reds second goal, as he prodded home Mohamed Salah’s effort. In the second half the giant centre back had no worries and dominated everything around him.

Virgil van Dijk – 8.0

The captain and leader of this team was determined to win this last game for his beloved boss, as he controlled his backline and everything ahead of him. A fine first half showing only required his best defensive efforts on a couple of occasions, as he pushed his rearguard line continually high. As the encounter resumed the former Celtic man was untroubled and effective against the odd moments of danger.

Harvey Elliott – 8.0

The England under-21 midfielder was a constant live-wire who was able to assist Alexis Mac Allister for the game’s opening goal, as a smart cross found his Argentinian teammate central in the opposing penalty box. Repeated clever linked up play rounded off another impressive half of football for the young entertainer. In the second period, the former Fulham man was equally involved and productive as the men in red controlled every area of the Anfield pitch. (Subbed – 81 mins)

Alexis Mac Allister – 9.0

The Argentina World Cup winner was revitalised and efficient in a strong first half showing, as a fine headed goal and superior midfield display was undertaken in the initial 45-minutes. As the match resumed, the former Brighton man became more and more involved in the final third as his side looked to extend their lead. (Subbed – 71 mins)

Wataru Endō – 7.0

The Japan captain was positionally alert to counter attacks and recycled play when needed through a dominant first half by the hosts. After the restart the former Bundesliga enforcer was again resolute and reliable in the corral areas.

Luis Díaz – 7.0

The Colombian flyer was effective in driving the play forward, as he continually looked to cut inside and create opportunities for his side. After the half time break, the former Porto man was again heavily involved and should have scored from close range, before the bar stopped him scoring into an empty net. Good, not great for the potentially want-away winger. (Subbed – 71 mins)

Cody Gakpo – 7.0

The Dutch forward was decent in the opening half, as he held a central position and used his body strength and intelligence to bring others into play. In the second period of this final game of the season, the former PSV man was limited and perhaps underwhelming in a game that meant little in terms of points garnering. (Subbed 81 mins)

Mohamed Salah – 7.0

The Egyptian King was unlucky not to score his sides second goal, as his snapshot became an assist for young Jarell Quansah to tap in from close range. His emergence and ability to create openings was sporadic as he was marshalled well by a largely organized Wolves defence.
