Leicester City could pull out of the race for Nuno Mendes with Liverpool and Manchester United remaining firmly keen on signing him from Sporting Lisbon.

The young player has been a regular for Sporting this season and is really beginning to cause a bit of a stir around him in terms of the talent he has got.

A player that can play at left-back or in left-midfield, he has shown he is a powerful runner with real quality for Sporting, sparking a fair bit of interest in him.

Indeed, according to A Bola on Friday – via Sport WitnessLiverpool and Manchester United remain very keen on him, and are set to retain that interest for a while, with the Foxes perhaps set to now give up because of the other clubs in the race.

Mendes is clearly one of the brighter young players on the continent at the moment and a lot of clubs are looking at him.

Indeed, the very elite names appear to be queuing up at the moment and that could be why the Foxes are thinking it might be time to look elsewhere for new signings.

One thing seems certain, though, and that’s that Mendes will end up at a massive European club in the near future.
