Leeds United have reportedly decided against taking their interest in Harry Wilson any further with the Welshman potentially set to leave Liverpool for good this summer.

The Welsh winger had a stellar year out on loan at Cardiff City last season in the Sky Bet Championship, scoring seven goals and assisting another eleven, and that has naturally sparked a bit of interest in him this summer.

Indeed, according to the Express, Liverpool are looking to cash in on that with a £17m price-tag on his head but, because of that, Leeds United have decided that this particular deal is not for them.

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

Wilson is a good player but perhaps not good enough to force his way into the Liverpool side which, when you look at the options in front of him in terms of the final third, is no shameful thing.

Liverpool obviously want to try and get as much as they can for him to then try and reinvest but whether anyone is going to be willing to pay close to £20m for a player that still needs to prove himself in the Premier League is up for debate – particularly after a pandemic.
