Liverpool were two goals away from completing a remarkable quadruple in 2021 but in the end the two biggest trophies they wanted the most evaded them.
Can JĂŒrgen Klopp and his team go one better this season and bring home the Premier League title?

There has been success off the pitch in the close season as months of speculation came to an end when Salah signed a new three-year deal to stay at Anfield.
The Egyptian forward has won the Premier League Golden Boot in three out of his five seasons at the club, and he only needs six more goals this season to overtake a certain Sir Kenny Dalglish and move into fifth in the clubâs all-time top goalscorers chart.
His importance to this Liverpool is undoubted and after another 31 goals last season, he doesnât look like slowing down.
Sadio ManĂ© has left the club after six successful seasons and Liverpoolâs choice of replacement has raised some eyebrows.
The arrival of Darwin NĂșñez from Benfica certainly isnât like-for-like and could indicate that Klopp could be eyeing up a potential change in style or formation this season.
Itâs the first time during the Germanâs reign that Liverpool now have a more traditional centre-forward option and after 47 goals in two seasons in Portugal, you can see why Klopp is willing to gamble on the 23-year-old.
Of course, NĂșñez wonât shoulder the burden of replacing ManĂ© alone after the January arrival of Luis DĂaz, but a season of change could be ahead.
